As a powerful rich CEO (or Managing Director as they're also known in Britain), might I suggest a law firm (he would need to be a lawyer though), an engineering company (that makes vehicles and/or vehicle parts, like Daewoo or Rolls Royce), a property development/construction company, or an energy concern.
Personally, when I hear 'mean and arrogant', I tend to think property development/construction or energy concern. Both are domineered by profit over product.
